Perched above the cliff, facing open water.
Villa Tamar stands on the cliff above Azenhas do Mar, the whitewashed village that steps down the Sintra coast into the sea. The house has been restored slowly and with restraint: original tilework, a wood-burning fireplace, a 1907 upright piano, and one great window that holds the whole Atlantic.
It hosts two guests. One king suite, two living rooms, a garden of five hundred square metres, and an infinity pool held above the water.
